URGH !!!
But after I had a Conertto Mini, a complain phonecall to my dearest dearest boyfriend and a cup of coffee, I am able to calm myself a little and finally get myself to sit infront of the PC again to re-write the following..
*trying to recapitulate what I have written...*
The title of this blog entry was suppose to be..
"A University par excellence...."
MY ASS!
Last Thursday was Clubs and Society Day and SSLA Association was asked to participate by setting up a booth to promote the club and at the same time recruit more members.
The night before I was so busy writing articles about the previous events we have had and also a brief introduction to the future events we have planned. Besides that, I was also rushing to the photo shop to develope the photos from my lecturer's memory card. Not forgetting the Advertising assignment I have.. Phew! It was a busy day...
The worse problem of all was that I don't have a printer at home and thus I have to go to the office late at night after dinner to do the stuffs and print it. Unfortunately, mom tagged along because she wanted to do some of her stuffs as well so I can't stay in the office until whatever time I want. That left me no choice but to go back to the office early morning the next day and print out what was left.
Anyway, back to Thursday. I was at the lobby sitting at the booth chit chatting with my ex-classmates after a long holiday, a friend Fu Wei came up and said, "A Merz drove down the stairs and got stucked there!!"
OOO...!!
Wanting to know what exactly happened, I went out to the lobby's balcony and this was what I saw..
Maybe you might ask how the car ended up there. Well. You see, there is a drive way on the right side of the balcony where cars can drive up to park in front of the main gate. I suppose those are special parkings for the Directors and VIPs'. On the left side of the balcony however, was not a drive way down! It was infact stairs for the students to access to the balcony, or precisely to enter into Block A lobby.
For any sensible person with common sense would assume that if I drive up from the right and there is a passage on the left, I would of course think that that will be the way out right??
Clearly, UCSI didn't consider it as such. I don't know if I should say that UCSI is ignorant to the common human thinking or they are just PLAIN STEWPITT !
I openly commented that UCSI fits better the latter.
A clearer view of how disastrous it was. And oh, as you can see, it was a Mercedes Benz C200 Kompressor.
The driver decided that it will be easier to reverse the car up than to drive it all the way down. BUT! It was no easy task at all. See how the tyre landed on the steps? In order to drive the car up, they needed a flat surface under the tyre to support it up. Many guys volunteered to help and they were going around looking for any possible objects that may served as a support. In the end, they came back with bricks, stones and wood boards.
So they placed all the bricks, stones and boards behind the car to create a flatter surface for the car to go up. They driver seriously stepped on the gas and many people helped by grabbing on the car on any accessable place to push it upwards.
Many attempts but failed. The car nearly slipped a few more steps but thank goodness it didn't or else it will be more difficult than how it was already..
There was this lady who stood beside me.. she let out a squeak! when the driver stepped on it. She said out to the thin air with the *fanning herself* hand motion, "OMG ..scared me!!"
~"-_-
*Applause Applause*
The crowd was cheering, glad that the car was back up to the balcony again.
Then I heard from a senior that this was not the first incident.
Gosh!!
And UCSI did NOTHING about it! NOTHING..
After the car was up, they simply placed a few pots of flower there. GEEZ ~
Calling themselves a University par excellence..
KAa PUI ~!!
p/s : These photos were taken with Jesslyn's Sony Ericsson K750i. This phone has proven itself to be a good camera phone. 2.0 Megapixel! Clear and nice shots, quality not losing out to any normal digital camera..
